Refund policy

We want you to love your purchase from The Melanated Collective. If something is not quite right, here is how returns work.

Returns

  • Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery.

  • Items must be unused, unworn, and in original condition, with tags and original packaging.

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

Certain items are not eligible for return, including:

  • Items marked Final Sale

  • Gift cards

  • Custom or made-to-order items (if applicable)

Please review product descriptions carefully before purchasing. If you have questions about an item, contact us prior to ordering.

Final Sale Items

Items marked Final Sale are not eligible for return or refund. Final Sale applies to specific collections or products as noted at purchase.

Exchanges

At this time, we do not offer direct exchanges. The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you whether the refund is approved or not. If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days. Please note it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

  • Shipping charges are non-refundable.

  • If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return, please contact us at support@weremelanatedtribe.com.

European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification. Your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
